Gary B. SCHUSTER is currently Provost, Executive President for Academic Affairs, and Vasser Wooley Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia, USA). He studies the chemistry of DNA and especially how it can be damaged (photo/cleavage of nucleic acids, oxidative processes, ....). He is also interested in the use of DNA as a template for the growth of oligomers of conducting polymers.
